Wilson Garcia-Miranda Obituary, Death – On Thursday night, Omaha police are investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of a 16-year-old. Officers were called to the scene at the intersection of 48th Avenue and Q Street around 10:20 p.m.

Upon arrival, first responders found one victim who was pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased has been identified as Wilson Garcia-Miranda, 16. A second victim, identified as 18-year-old Emerson Olivorio-Marroqui, was found injured at a residence a few blocks away. Olivorio-Marroqui was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.

Police continued to investigate the scene for several hours, searching for suspects and seeking witnesses. Lt. Sean Sheridan explained that because the incident occurred outdoors, the investigation area had to be extensive to ensure all potential evidence was collected, unlike incidents that occur inside a building.
