William Wilson Obituary, Death – A Fulton County Public Works employee, William “Will” Wilson, tragically died in a worksite accident earlier this week. County officials confirmed his identity and provided details about the incident. The accident occurred on Monday morning while Wilson and other workers were responding to a sewer issue in Sandy Springs.

Wilson, who served as a Senior Crew Supervisor in the Fulton County Department of Public Works, had been with the county for over eight years. His death has deeply affected his colleagues and the wider community. In an official statement, the county expressed its sorrow over the loss of such a dedicated employee.

Wilson is survived by his wife, Janet Coats Wilson, his daughter, Lee Bradley, two grandchildren, as well as numerous friends and coworkers. He was known for his love of the outdoors, particularly his passion for fishing. Fulton County officials highlighted his personal interests and noted that he enjoyed spending time in nature.

Chairman of the Fulton County Commissioners, Pitts, expressed the county’s grief, stating that the Fulton County family is mourning the loss of a beloved friend and colleague. Pitts also extended condolences to Wilson’s family and the entire Public Works team, acknowledging the difficulty of the moment.

Wilson’s funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, September 17, at 1 p.m. at The Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Atlanta. A reception will follow the service in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, the Wilson family has requested donations be made in his memory to two nonprofit organizations close to his heart: Trout Unlimited, which focuses on conservation and fishing, and C.A.S.T For Kids, an organization that provides fishing opportunities for children with special needs.

Wilson’s passing is a significant loss to both his family and the Fulton County Public Works team, where he was highly respected for his service and dedication over the years. His legacy as a public servant and a person who loved the outdoors will be remembered by all who knew him.
