William Payne Obituary, Death – Officials have reported the death of a man involved in a crash that occurred on Tuesday afternoon on Whites Creek Pike. According to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD), the accident took place around 2:20 p.m. on Whites Creek Pike, near Jackman Road.
The deceased driver, 46-year-old William Payne from Clarksville, was operating a BMW 28I sedan and was traveling northbound when he lost control of the vehicle. The car veered off the road, entered a ditch, and then collided with a utility pole.
Payne was transported to Skyline Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. At the scene, police noted that there were no indications of impairment and that Payne was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
