According to initial reports from the authorities, the crash happened when the vehicle, driven by the victim, veered off the road and rolled over, causing extensive damage to the car. During the rollover, the driver was partially ejected from the vehicle, a factor that contributed to the severity of the situation.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but the driver was pronounced dead on-site due to the injuries sustained in the crash. The Lake County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Tywaun Reed, a 21-year-old resident of Waukegan. The circumstances surrounding the crash are still being investigated by the North Chicago Police Department, in cooperation with the Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT). Investigators are continuing to gather information and assess what led to the vehicle veering off the road, but no further details have been released at this time.
