Todd Osborne Obituary, Death – The coroner has identified the victim of a hit-and-run incident in Desert Hot Springs that occurred on Sunday, revealing that the deceased was a 48-year-old man named Todd Osborne.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer David Torres, Osborne, a resident of Desert Hot Springs, was walking on the right shoulder of northbound Palm Drive when an unidentified vehicle veered onto the shoulder and struck him. The incident took place south of Beacon Drive, near the now-closed Desert Dunes golf course.
Following the collision, the vehicle reportedly fled the scene, and Osborne was later pronounced dead at the location. Officer Torres stated that the California Highway Patrol is seeking assistance from the public to help identify the driver responsible for the accident.
The crash was reported to authorities around 6:50 a.m. on Sunday. However, the Riverside County coroner indicated that both the time of Osborne’s injury and the time of his death are listed as unknown, implying that investigators are unsure of the exact moment he was struck.
