Thomas James Cossins Obituary, Death – A young Australian man lost his life in a motorbike crash in Bali while on holiday with his fiancée. Thomas James Cossins, 30, was reportedly riding his motorbike at high speed when he lost control while navigating a curve in Buleleng on Friday. Cossins’ fiancée, Jasmine Sparreboom, expressed her deep sorrow and love for him in a heartfelt tribute.
She described him as “the love of my life, my soul mate, my fiancé, my best friend.” In a message posted on Facebook, Sparreboom shared her admiration for Cossins, highlighting the love, compassion, strength, and loyalty he had shown her. She wrote, “You shine brighter than anyone I have ever met and I will forever be in your debt. You’ve shown me love I never knew existed and I will truly love you for the rest of my life. I will never forget you and I will do everything in my power to honour your brilliance.”
Local reports and police statements suggest that Cossins was riding a sports bike downhill when he lost control while taking a curve. The incident occurred on Friday, with Cossins reportedly entering a ditch on the left side of the road, where he was crushed under the motorbike. According to Buleleng police spokesperson Gede Darma Diatmika, “The victim entered a ditch on the left side of the road and was crushed under the motorbike he was riding.” Cossins sustained severe head injuries and was declared dead at Parama Sidhi Singaraja Hospital.
Eyewitness accounts indicated that Cossins was traveling at high speed before the tragic crash. The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs is currently providing consular assistance to his family during this difficult time.
