Sherrie Ivie Obituary, Death – The Utah Highway Patrol has identified a woman involved in a fatal accident that took place earlier this week in Tooele County. The deceased has been named as 69-year-old Sherrie Ivie from Grantsville. The incident occurred near mile post 99 on Tuesday afternoon, causing significant traffic delays for several hours.
The crash resulted in the death of Ivie and left another driver, a 61-year-old male, in critical condition. The identity of the male driver has not been disclosed by the Utah Highway Patrol.
Ivie’s maroon Ford Explorer crossed the center line and struck a green Ford F-150 head-on, which was being driven by the male. Ivie suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision, while the male driver of the Ford F-150 was airlifted to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
The current status of the male driver remains unknown.
