Shelley Maree Ekstrom Obituary, Death – Crews recovered the body of 60-year-old Shelley Maree Ekstrom, of Conifer, two days after she was killed in an ATV crash in Pike National Forest near the Park/Teller County line.
According to the Park County Coroner’s Office, multiple agencies, including the Park County Sheriff’s Office, Search and Rescue, and the Lake George Fire Protection District, responded on Oct. 2 to reports of a missing person and a fatal crash.
Navigating difficult terrain, they found Ekstrom’s body at the crash site. She is believed to have died the night of Oct. 1. This was the second ATV fatality in two months.
