Shayna Stukes, Robert Licata Obituary, Death – Two separate crashes on Interstate 77 near Columbia resulted in the deaths of two individuals on Thursday night. The first accident occurred at 9:19 p.m. near the 15-mile marker, close to the Percival Road exit. The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported that a vehicle was traveling south on I-77 when it veered off the right side of the road and rolled over.
As a result of this incident, the front seat passenger, 20-year-old Shayna Stukes from Gaston, lost her life. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this collision.
The second crash took place at 11:12 p.m. on I-77 north near the 12-mile marker, in the vicinity of the Forest Drive exit. This collision involved a sedan and a motorcycle. According to troopers, both vehicles were heading northbound on the interstate when the motorcycle struck the sedan’s rear right corner. The impact caused the motorcycle to overturn and travel off the right side of the road.
The driver of the motorcycle, identified as 37-year-old Robert Licata from Lugoff, was pronounced dead following the incident. This crash is also under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Authorities are working to gather more information about both collisions as the investigations proceed.
