Shad Volbrecht Obituary, Death – Authorities have identified a motorcyclist who tragically lost his life in a weekend crash. The Walworth County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that the victim was 53-year-old Shad Volbrecht, a resident of Lake Geneva.
The incident occurred around 12:10 p.m. at the intersection of Como Road and Alder Drive in the town of Geneva. Emergency services quickly responded to the scene, where they found a motorcycle and a car significantly damaged at the intersection.
Upon arrival, first responders worked to provide medical assistance to Volbrecht, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene by officials from the Walworth County Medical Examiner’s Office. Thankfully, the occupants of the car involved in the crash did not sustain any injuries.
According to a preliminary investigation by the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office, the car was stationary, waiting for oncoming traffic to pass so it could make a left turn. At that moment, Volbrecht’s motorcycle struck the rear of the car.
The Walworth County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team is currently conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
