The victim, 59-year-old Serge Panier from Lake Worth, was hit by two vehicles near West McNab Road and Northwest 70th Avenue at approximately 6 a.m., according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Panier was initially hit by a BMW 325 CI while he was walking across McNab Road. The impact of the collision knocked him to the ground, where he was subsequently struck by another vehicle, which authorities believe was a pickup truck. Unfortunately, Panier was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the BMW remained at the site of the incident, cooperating with the authorities, but the second driver, the one in the pickup truck, fled the scene and has not yet been located.
