Roberto Vasquez Obituary, Death News – The driver of a Toyota Tundra who was killed in a crash late Sunday morning at the intersection of Goldenrod and Jensen Avenues near Kerman has been identified by officials. The Fresno County Coroner’s Office confirmed the victim as 27-year-old Roberto Vasquez from Fresno.
According to reports, Vasquez was driving the Toyota Tundra on Goldenrod Avenue when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Jensen Avenue. At that moment, a woman driving down Jensen Avenue, which does not have a stop sign, entered the intersection with her two children. The Toyota Tundra collided with her vehicle, causing both vehicles to roll over before coming to a halt.
Vasquez was pronounced dead at the scene, while the woman and her two children were taken to the hospital with minor to moderate injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
CHP officials described the intersection as dangerous and emphasized the need for drivers to exercise caution when navigating it.
