Robby Pokorny Obituary, Death – Two weeks after a tragic bike accident in Clovis, the victim has been identified by local authorities. On September 18, Clovis Police reported that a man was riding his bicycle near the intersection of Clovis Avenue and Saginaw Avenue, just south of Ashlan Avenue, around 1 p.m. when a van traveling north on Clovis Avenue struck him as he attempted to cross the road.
The collision resulted in severe injuries to the bicyclist, who remained in critical condition for nearly two weeks before passing away on September 30. On Wednesday, the Fresno County Coroner’s Office officially identified the victim as Robby Pokorny, a 63-year-old resident of Fresno.
The van driver involved in the incident stayed at the scene after the crash and cooperated fully with law enforcement. Clovis Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, but no additional details about the cause have been released at this time.
