Rebecca Maes Obituary, Death – A tragic incident occurred on the morning of November 2 when a 44-year-old woman was struck by two vehicles while walking in the southbound lanes of Interstate 25 in Pueblo, leading to her death from the injuries sustained. The Pueblo Police Department received a call just before 7 a.m. regarding a collision involving a pedestrian.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered that the victim, identified as Rebecca Maes by the Pueblo County Coroner’s Office, had been walking along the southbound lanes of I-25, just south of 13th Street, when she was initially hit by a vehicle, which knocked her down onto the roadway. While she was still on the road, a second vehicle subsequently struck her.
As a result of the injuries from both collisions, Maes unfortunately did not survive. Following the incident, southbound traffic on I-25 was temporarily halted at 13th Street, but authorities managed to reopen the interstate by 10:30 a.m., as reported by the Pueblo police on social media platform X.
