Ramiro Moreno Obituary, Death – Aurora police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a driver responsible for a deadly crash that claimed the life of a 43-year-old local man. The victim, identified as Ramiro Moreno, lived on the 2700 block of Stuart Kaplan Drive.

The incident occurred early Saturday morning, with police being dispatched to the collision at the intersection of Ogden Avenue and South Farnsworth Avenue at 5:19 a.m. Reports indicate that a black 2003 Infiniti FX45 was traveling eastbound on Ogden at a high speed when it ran a red light. The Infiniti then struck a gray 2000 Honda Civic that had the right of way.

Witnesses to the crash observed the driver of the Infiniti exit the vehicle after the impact and flee the scene heading north on Farnsworth Avenue. Descriptions provided by witnesses detailed the driver as a Black man, approximately 30 years old, standing about 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing around 210 pounds, and sporting long dreadlocks. At the time of the incident, he was reportedly wearing a white T-shirt, light-colored jeans, and white and blue Nike shoes.

Upon arrival at the crash scene, police found Moreno unresponsive. Paramedics from Aurora transported him to Rush Copley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 6:06 a.m.

Following the collision, Aurora police, along with K-9 units, searched the vicinity of the accident but were unable to locate the driver of the Infiniti. The area surrounding the crash site was closed for several hours on Saturday morning as part of the investigation.
