Nicholas Rados Obituary, Death – An Arlington man has died, and an 18-year-old has been charged in connection with the fatal crash. The accident occurred around 2 a.m. on N. Harrison Street in the Tara-Leeway Heights neighborhood. The driver, an 18-year-old Arlington resident, lost control of the vehicle, striking several parked cars before overturning.
One of the passengers, 19-year-old Nicholas Rados, was ejected from the vehicle. Despite receiving medical attention and being transported to a trauma center, Rados was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Rados had recently graduated from Washington-Liberty High School, where he was involved in lacrosse, golf, and basketball.
The driver, identified as Brooks Bare, was charged with DUI/Involuntary Manslaughter and refusal to submit to a breath/blood test. Police believe alcohol played a role in the crash, and Bare is being held without bond. Bare is a 2024 graduate of H-B Woodlawn and was active in baseball and ultimate frisbee.
