Nicholas Edward Grace Obituary, Death – The Pueblo County Coroner’s Office has identified Nicholas Edward Grace, 56, as the man who was shot and killed outside a Loaf N’ Jug convenience store in Pueblo in the early hours of September 26. Grace was found in the store’s parking lot at 1104 Pueblo Blvd. Way after police responded to a report of a panic alarm and possible shooting around 3 a.m.

Preliminary reports suggest that the shooting may have resulted from an attempted carjacking, although this has not yet been confirmed by investigators. The Pueblo Police Department has stated that detectives are treating the case as a priority and are actively working to gather more information.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. Grace’s death marks the 16th homicide in Pueblo for 2024. In comparison, the city recorded 26 homicides in 2023.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Pueblo Police Department or submit tips anonymously through Pueblo Crime Stoppers, which offers cash rewards for information leading to a felony arrest.
