Michelle Jenkins Obituary, Death – A Rochester man linked to an Eau Claire homicide in late August has been found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Eau Claire Police Department (ECPD) identified Scott Jenkins, 59, as a suspect in the killing of Michelle Jenkins.

Michelle Jenkins was discovered dead on August 29 after a welfare check was requested. She had been shot, and the police investigation quickly pointed to Scott Jenkins as a suspect. Scott and Michelle were siblings.

The ECPD used neighborhood canvassing, interviews, and surveillance footage from Flock cameras in Eau Claire and Buffalo Counties to piece together the events leading up to Michelle’s death. The footage confirmed that Scott’s vehicle was at Michelle’s apartment on the day she was killed. Despite a search of Scott’s residence in Rochester, he was not located.

On September 6, authorities in Winona County reported that they had pulled over Scott’s vehicle on I-90 near Highway 43. Inside, they found Scott dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The investigation into the case is still ongoing.
