Melissa MacDonald Obituary, Death – The Utah Department of Public Safety has identified the woman who was killed earlier this week in a tragic two-vehicle crash in Millard County. The victim, Melissa MacDonald, 55, from North Miami, Florida, lost her life after the Toyota Corolla she was in collided with a Dodge truck in a wrong-way crash. The crash occurred at milepost 132 on Interstate 15, near the Interstate 70 junction, early Thursday morning.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol (UHP), the accident took place at approximately 5:15 a.m. The Toyota Corolla, driven by MacDonald, was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of I-15 when it struck the Dodge truck head-on. Along with MacDonald, a 10-year-old child in the Dodge also died in the crash. Additionally, three other individuals were injured, though details of their conditions have not been released.
Following the crash, the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 were closed for several hours as emergency responders attended to the victims and cleared the wreckage. The UHP continues to investigate the circumstances leading to the wrong-way collision.
