Linetta Wells Obituary, Death – The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office announced on Friday the identity of a 56-year-old woman who was tragically killed while working as a construction flagger in Manor Township earlier this week. The victim has been identified as Linetta Wells, a resident of Pottstown.

Wells was directing traffic for road construction on Stone Mill Road, close to Plymouth Road, when she was struck by an SUV around 7:30 a.m. on Thursday. According to the coroner’s office, emergency responders arrived at the scene around 8:09 a.m., where they discovered Wells lying in the roadway. She was pronounced dead at 8:38 a.m., as stated in the press release.

An autopsy has been performed, but as of Friday afternoon, the cause and manner of Wells’ death remain under investigation.
