Keith Oxendine Obituary, Death – One individual was fatally shot, while another was airlifted to a hospital following two separate shooting incidents in Pembroke on Wednesday, according to reports from officials to News13. The Pembroke police received a call at 2:16 a.m. regarding a shooting in the 500 block of Lowry Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered 53-year-old Keith Oxendine suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite efforts to save him, he was later pronounced dead.

Authorities have identified a “person of interest” in connection with Oxendine’s shooting. Police assured the community that there is no immediate threat to public safety.

Later in the day, around 7:30 p.m., officers responded to another shooting at the Pembroke Mini Mart on East Third Street. In this incident, a woman was shot in the head and subsequently airlifted to a hospital. Her condition is reported to be stable.

Police have also identified a suspect in the second shooting, which is believed to be related to a domestic situation. However, the name of the suspect has not yet been disclosed. Similar to the earlier incident, law enforcement has stated that there is no current threat to the public.
