Kaylib Knight Obituary, Death – A tragic car accident over the weekend claimed the life of a 17-year-old in Brandon, Mississippi. The Rankin County Sheriff’s Department reported that deputies were called to a single-car crash on Friday, November 1, around 8:30 p.m. The incident occurred on Applewood Lane in Brandon’s Robinhood neighborhood.

The driver was identified as Kaylib Knight, a local teenager from Brandon. According to Investigator Tyler Burnell from the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department, Knight had been partially ejected from the vehicle and was trapped inside when deputies arrived. His condition rapidly worsened, prompting emergency responders to call for Air Care to expedite his transport to the hospital.

After extracting Knight from the vehicle, medical personnel administered CPR on the scene. Unfortunately, Knight never regained consciousness and was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

The initial investigation suggests that Knight was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, a factor that may have contributed to the severity of his injuries. This incident serves as a heartbreaking reminder of the importance of seatbelt use, especially for young drivers. As the community mourns, local authorities continue to investigate the details of the accident.
