Julian Wolf Obituary, Death – Yellowstone County Sheriff Mike Linder identified Julian Wolf, a 28-year-old from Billings, as the victim of a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred on Monday night. Wolf was riding his motorcycle on Fourth Avenue North when a pickup truck, driven by Jimmy Joe Flanagan, failed to stop at the intersection of North 20th Street and Fourth Avenue North, striking and killing Wolf. At the time of the crash, two sheriff’s deputies were in pursuit of the pickup truck.

The deputies involved in the chase were identified as Wesley Brutlag, a six-year veteran of the sheriff’s office, and Dylan Council, who has been with the department for 10 months. The details of the pursuit and the circumstances leading up to the collision are still under investigation.

Jimmy Joe Flanagan, 42, also from Billings, was arrested and charged with multiple felonies in connection to the crash, including vehicular homicide while under the influence. On Wednesday, Flanagan pleaded not guilty to seven felony charges related to the incident. A judge set his bond at $1 million as legal proceedings move forward. The case has drawn attention due to the involvement of law enforcement in the pursuit and the severity of the charges against Flanagan.
