Joshua Ken Obituary, Death – The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the victim in a deadly shooting that took place at Picket Park in Reno. The victim, Joshua Kent, was a 22-year-old man who is thought to have been homeless. After the shooting, he was rushed to Renown Regional Medical Center but unfortunately passed away from his injuries on October 19.
The Reno Police Department received a call about the shooting and arrived at Picket Park around 7 p.m. on October 17. Upon their arrival, they discovered the victim suffering from gunshot wounds and promptly transported him across the street to the hospital for emergency care.
Authorities have stated that they believe the shooting was an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to the safety of the public.
