John L. Pruitt Obituary, Death – A 55-year-old resident of Ohatchee lost his life on August 28 in a single-vehicle accident. The deceased has been identified as John L. Pruitt, as reported by State Troopers. He succumbed to injuries sustained when the 2006 Lincoln Town Car he was operating veered off the roadway, struck a ditch, overturned, and subsequently collided with a tree.
According to State Troopers, he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the incident and was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident occurred on Alabama 144, near the 22-mile marker, approximately two miles east of Ohatchee, in Calhoun County.
