Jody Deane Obituary, Death News – A man who died following a shooting that also seriously injured another person on Friday morning in Trotwood has been identified. The victim, Jody Deane, 54, was pronounced dead at the VA Medical Center located at 4100 W. Third St. in Dayton, according to Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger.
The Trotwood police department is actively investigating the shooting incident.
At approximately 10:45 a.m. on Friday, authorities received a report of shots fired from a vehicle in the 4200 block of Fruedenberger Avenue. While officers were on the scene investigating, two gunshot victims arrived at the VA Medical Center.
Deane was confirmed dead at the medical center, while the second victim was transferred to Miami Valley Hospital with serious injuries, as reported by Trotwood police.
