Jeffrey Buren Khahling Obituary, Death – The Marin County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim of the fatal plane crash in Novato on Saturday as 75-year-old Jeffrey Buren Khahling from Redding. The crash occurred shortly after takeoff at 3:50 p.m., when the single-engine plane went down into a hangar near Gnoss Field.
According to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), the aircraft collided with the hangar and both the plane and the structure were immediately consumed by flames. Khahling, who was the sole occupant and pilot of the plane, perished in the incident.
The plane was completely destroyed by the fire, and Khahling’s death has been confirmed. The investigation into the crash is being conducted collaboratively by the NTSB, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the Marin County Sheriff’s Office.
