Jeanie Holland-Seczko Obituary, Death – A woman tragically lost her life in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 64 near Cornell on Saturday morning. The Wisconsin State Patrol reported that the accident occurred at 8:37 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 64 and County Road G in Chippewa County.
Preliminary investigations indicate that a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer was traveling south on County Road G when it failed to yield at the stop sign at the intersection with Highway 64. As the Trailblazer entered the intersection, it was struck by a 2024 Mazda CX-90.
Both drivers were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, the driver of the Trailblazer, identified as 62-year-old Vickie Bentley from Sheldon, succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the Mazda, Jeanie Holland-Seczko from Cornell, sustained injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, both drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash, and there was no indication that alcohol was a factor in the incident. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is ongoing, as authorities work to piece together the details of this tragic event.
