James Michael Lescord Obituary, Death – Largo police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that resulted in the death of a pedestrian on Wednesday evening. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. at 2650 Roosevelt Boulevard, near U.S. Highway 19. According to the Largo Police Department, the driver of a vehicle struck the pedestrian, who was attempting to cross the road, and then fled the scene without stopping.

The pedestrian has been identified as 56-year-old James Michael Lescord. Authorities believe the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run was a dark-colored Ford or Mercury SUV.

Following the initial collision, a second vehicle, a 2007 Toyota Highlander traveling west on Roosevelt Boulevard, also hit Lescord while he was lying in the road. The driver of this vehicle stopped and stayed at the scene, and police reported that the driver did not appear to be impaired.

As a result of the crash, a portion of Roosevelt Boulevard was closed for several hours while police conducted their investigation. Largo police are urging anyone who witnessed the accident to contact them at 727-587-6730 with any information.
