James Garvin Obituary, Death – The Charleston County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who died after being ejected from his vehicle in a single-car crash in Ravenel on Thursday. The deceased has been named as 81-year-old James “Ed” Garvin from Adams Run.
According to Coroner Bobbi Jo O’Neal, Garvin was pronounced dead at the scene around 3 p.m. on September 12. The accident occurred at the intersection of Savannah Highway and Bay Pond Road.
Investigators report that Garvin’s vehicle was traveling northbound on Savannah Highway when it crossed the median into the southbound lanes. The vehicle then struck a ditch and overturned. It was during the overturning process that Garvin was ejected from the vehicle, leading to his death.
