Jamarcus F. Walker Obituary, Death – A second man has been declared brain dead following a double shooting that occurred earlier this week in Peoria. Jamarcus F. Walker, 31, from Port Gibson, Mississippi, was critically injured in the shooting and taken from the scene on Wednesday night. According to Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood, Walker was pronounced brain dead on Friday afternoon. An autopsy will be conducted after organ procurement.

The first victim, Dennis Harris, 30, from West Ridge Road in Peoria, was pronounced dead at the scene on Wednesday night.

Peoria police arrived at the 900 block of West Johnson Street around 8:22 p.m. on Wednesday in response to reports of gunfire. They discovered both Walker and Harris with gunshot wounds at the location.
