Jacy Meier Obituary, Death – The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau has identified a Livermore man who tragically lost his life in a crash in Oakland early Saturday morning. Reports from the Bay Area News Group and Bay City News state that Jacy Meier, 45, was involved in the accident around 3:45 a.m. when his vehicle collided with a utility pole.
Investigations revealed that the car Meier was driving had been reported stolen on September 29 from San Ramon. At the time of the crash, Meier was out on $20,000 bail related to a case in Fremont, where he faced charges for car theft, possession of a firearm, and having burglary tools, as per court records examined by the Bay Area News Group.
According to police, Meier had a significant criminal history, with six felony convictions for offenses including drug possession, second-degree burglary, unlawful driving, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Meier was the only occupant of the vehicle during the incident. Authorities have not yet determined whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash, according to Bay City News.
