Gage Matthews Obituary, Death – On the night of October 11, a fatal collision occurred between a motorcycle and a vehicle on Riddle Bypass Road near E Street in Riddle, Oregon. At around 10:30 p.m., 81-year-old Warren Currier was driving a 2007 Toyota Tacoma southbound when he made a left turn onto E Street. As he turned, his vehicle collided with a northbound 2024 Ninja Kawasaki motorcycle ridden by 20-year-old Gage Matthews of Myrtle Creek.
Emergency responders arrived shortly after the crash, but Matthews was pronounced dead at the scene. Currier sustained injuries and was transported to Mercy Medical Center for treatment. The roadway was closed for about five hours while deputies conducted an investigation. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, referencing Case #24-3959.
