Frank Ramos Obituary, Death – The Austin Police Department (APD) is seeking the public’s help in finding a suspect linked to a pedestrian fatality that occurred last month. The tragic incident took place on September 17 around 6:24 a.m. in the northbound lane of the 7400 block of Ed Bluestein Boulevard, near Springdale Road.

The victim has been identified as Frank Ramos, a 43-year-old man who was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. After the collision, the driver of the vehicle involved fled without stopping to provide aid or calling emergency services.

Authorities have described the suspect’s vehicle as a Chrysler 200, model years 2013 or 2014. The color of the car remains unknown, but it may have sustained damage to the front passenger side, including a broken headlight on that side.

This case has been classified as the 64th fatal crash in Austin for the year 2024, contributing to a total of 69 fatalities. By contrast, the same date in the previous year saw 65 fatal crashes that resulted in 68 deaths, highlighting a concerning trend in roadway safety.

Authorities continue to gather evidence and encourage community members to assist in bringing closure to this incident.
