Ezra Galvez Obituary, Death – An 18-year-old driver lost his life in a wrong-way crash on October 19, according to Nevada State Police. The crash occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Interstate 80 westbound near Robb Drive in Washoe County.
Authorities reported that Ezra Galvez, from Gardnerville, was driving a 2007 Jeep Liberty eastbound in the westbound lane when the accident occurred. At the same time, a 2017 Peterbilt semi-tractor towing two flatbed trailers was headed westbound. The semi’s driver attempted to avoid a crash by swerving, while Galvez also veered right. Unfortunately, the front of the Jeep collided with the front of the semi.
Following the impact, the Jeep caught fire, and Galvez was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the semi remained on-site and is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
