Emmanuel Merriweather Obituary, Death – Authorities in Decatur have identified the individual who drowned at Riverwalk Marina on Sunday. Limestone County Coroner Mike West confirmed that the victim was 24-year-old Emmanuel Merriweather. Merriweather was recovered from the water and pronounced dead shortly after 7:30 a.m.
According to reports, two men entered the water, but only one emerged. Decatur Police were alerted to a missing person report at the marina around 6:25 a.m. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation.
