Edwin Hilton Obituary, Death – A man shot and killed Wednesday evening in the Leonidas neighborhood has been identified by the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office. According to the New Orleans Police Department, 30-year-old Edwin Hilton was found with at least one gunshot wound. Paramedics arrived on the scene and pronounced him dead.
The police responded to the incident at 9:53 p.m. when a citizen flagged them down in the 1900 block of Leonidas Street, informing them that a man—later identified as Hilton—was suffering from a gunshot wound.
Authorities indicated that the shooting is being treated as a homicide. However, details regarding a potential suspect or motive for the shooting have not yet been disclosed.
