Derrick Magee Obituary, Death – A fatal incident took place in Amite County, resulting in the death of a man. As reported by the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at approximately 5:49 p.m. on Wednesday along Highway 24.
The MHP indicated that a 2005 Chevrolet Suburban, operated by 34-year-old Derrick Magee from McComb, was heading east when it collided with a 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by 27-year-old Steven Butler from Kentwood, Louisiana, who was traveling in the opposite direction.
Magee sustained critical injuries from the collision and was declared deceased at the scene. The Mississippi Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
