David McAdams Obituary, Death – Delaware State Police (DSP) are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a Kent County man on the evening of September 20. The incident occurred around 8:17 p.m. near the 4000 block of Sandtown Road.
The victim, identified as 56-year-old David McAdams from Felton, was driving eastbound when he reportedly veered off the road. In an attempt to correct the course, McAdams swerved back, which caused his truck to rotate and skid uncontrollably. The vehicle then left the road once again, overturned into a ditch, and eventually came to rest upright in a cornfield.
According to police, McAdams was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities shut down Sandtown Road for approximately three hours to conduct the investigation and clear the area. The Delaware State Police’s Troop 3 Collision Reconstruction Unit is leading the investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the crash.
