Daniel Davis Obituary, Death – A motorcyclist tragically lost his life in a crash that occurred on Friday night in Beach Park, a north suburban area. The incident was reported around 11:15 p.m. near the intersection of Green Bay Road and Aviation Drive, as confirmed by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
According to officials, the motorcycle, a 2007 Suzuki GSXR600, was traveling south on Green Bay Road when it collided with a 2022 Kia Rio that was in the process of making a left turn onto Chaplin Street. As the Kia turned, the motorcycle struck the passenger side of the vehicle. Witnesses at the scene informed deputies that the motorcyclist appeared to be speeding at the time of the accident.
The victim, identified as 56-year-old Daniel Davis, a resident of Beach Park, was ejected from his motorcycle upon impact and was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy conducted later revealed that he succumbed to blunt force injuries sustained during the crash.
Fortunately, the driver of the Kia, a 28-year-old man, and a 23-year-old female passenger, both also from Beach Park, were unharmed in the collision.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash, with the Technical Crash Investigations Team assigned to the case.
