Chau T. Le Obituary, Death – Authorities have identified the woman who died in a two-car accident in Guilford on August 24 as 82-year-old Chau T. Le from East Haven, police announced on Monday. Chau Le was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved in the collision. The investigation is still ongoing, and officials extended their condolences to Le’s family and friends.

The incident occurred on Saturday morning when first responders were alerted to a crash in the 1600 block of Route 80. Upon arrival, they found two vehicles involved in the crash, with injuries reported. Two individuals from one of the cars were transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Le sustained life-threatening injuries and was also taken to the hospital, where she later passed away.

As a result of the crash, Route 80, between Long Hill Road and the North Branford line, was closed for several hours. The South Central Connecticut Traffic Unit (SCCTU) conducted a detailed investigation at the scene to determine the cause of the accident. The road was reopened to traffic at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
