Charles George Olsen Obituary, Death – The County of Santa Clara Medical Examiner/Coroner has identified the 14-year-old boy who was killed in a crash on Highway 85 in San Jose on Monday. The victim has been named as Charles George Olsen, a resident of San Jose.
The accident occurred around 3:40 p.m. when a wrong-way truck driver collided with a Tesla Model Y, resulting in the deaths of two victims at the scene. The driver of the Tesla, identified as 47-year-old Rebecca Olsen, also from San Jose, died in the crash.
The truck driver, identified as 39-year-old Duncan McQuarrie from Orlando, Florida, survived the crash but was hospitalized with major injuries. It is currently unclear whether McQuarrie will face any charges related to the incident.

A witness traveling on the highway captured a dashcam video showing the truck driving in the wrong direction before the crash. At this time, authorities have not determined if drugs or alcohol were involved in the accident.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
