Carlos Ocasio-Rodriguez Obituary, Death – Authorities have reported that a man from Carlstadt was driving under the influence when he collided with a motorcycle on Friday, resulting in fatal injuries for the motorcyclist. The accident occurred at the intersection of Paulison Avenue and Pennington Avenue in Passaic, as stated by Police Chief Luis Guzman and County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes. The exact time of the incident has not been disclosed.

According to officials, 32-year-old Johnny Aguilar was operating a Ford Excursion when he struck the motorcycle ridden by 59-year-old Carlos Ocasio-Rodriguez. At the time of the crash, Ocasio-Rodriguez was traveling through the intersection. First responders found him lying in the middle of the intersection and immediately transported him to Saint Mary’s Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Authorities confirmed that Aguilar’s blood alcohol content exceeded the legal limit at the time of the accident. As a result, he has been charged with second-degree death by auto, which could lead to a prison sentence ranging from five to ten years if he is convicted. At the latest update, Aguilar remained in custody, awaiting his initial court appearance.
