Blake Olson Obituary, Death – The driver who tragically lost his life in a rollover accident on Highway 26 Tuesday morning has been identified as Blake Olson, a 33-year-old man from Oconomowoc. The identification was confirmed by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office on Friday.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the accident occurred when Olson was driving north on Highway 26 just before 9:30 a.m. Reports suggest that he veered off the roadway and onto the gravel shoulder. As a result, Olson lost control of his vehicle, which led to it spinning clockwise across both lanes of traffic.
After losing control, Olson’s 2010 Saab struck the ditch on the west side of the highway. The impact caused the vehicle to vault into a nearby farm field, where it rolled over several times. Unfortunately, Olson was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, which led to him being ejected from the vehicle during the rollover.
At the time of the accident, Olson was the sole occupant of the car, and authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. The investigation aims to determine the exact factors that led to this tragic incident.
