April Rosella Barton Obituary, Death – A Birmingham woman who was killed in a hit-and-run incident last week has been identified. On August 30, the Jefferson County Coroner confirmed that 48-year-old April Rosella Barton was crossing the street at the intersection of Princeton Avenue SW and Lomb Avenue SW around 10:30 p.m. when she was hit by a vehicle.
Barton was declared dead at the scene of the accident at 10:58 p.m. The vehicle involved in the collision fled the area after hitting Barton. The Birmingham police are currently investigating the details surrounding the crash.
