Anthony Montana, Traci Conley Obituary, Death – A tragic motorcycle accident in Yuba County resulted in the deaths of a man and woman from Marysville on Monday night. The incident occurred around 11:28 p.m. while the couple was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle in the northbound lane near the 8600 block of Highway 70, close to Ellis Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol’s Yuba-Sutter office, the victims, a 62-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman, collided with a Toyota Corolla driven by a 21-year-old man from Marysville. The Corolla had turned from a driveway onto the highway directly in front of the motorcycle, leaving the riders with no time to react. The motorcycle struck the left rear side of the car, resulting in both riders being ejected from the vehicle.
Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene, located approximately two miles north of Marysville, but unfortunately, both the man and woman were pronounced dead at the site of the accident. The Yuba County Sheriff’s Office later identified the deceased as Anthony Montana and Traci Conley.
Investigators at the scene reported that neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to be contributing factors in the crash. However, it remains unclear what speed Montana was traveling when the collision occurred.
The 21-year-old driver of the Corolla and his passenger, a 19-year-old woman, were unharmed in the accident, according to Officer Brian Danielson, a spokesperson for the CHP.
This incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers present on the road, particularly for motorcyclists. As the investigation continues, authorities are working to piece together the details surrounding this tragic event to better understand how it unfolded and to potentially prevent similar accidents in the future. The loss of Montana and Conley has deeply affected the local community as friends and family mourn the couple.
