Alexander Whitcomb Obituary, Death – Omaha police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning outside Los Diablos, located at 25th and Ames, resulting in one fatality. According to the Omaha Police Department (OPD), officers in the vicinity heard a gunshot around 4:15 a.m. and quickly responded to the location.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered multiple individuals exchanging gunfire and saw hundreds of people fleeing the scene. Due to the high volume of shots fired, officers called for additional assistance to help manage the situation.
First responders located a victim at the scene, identified as 37-year-old Alexander Whitcomb, who had sustained a gunshot wound. Whitcomb was promptly transported to Nebraska Medical Center but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
Sources have informed KETV that there was no argument or confrontation inside the club leading up to the shooting, which adds complexity to the ongoing investigation. Authorities are actively working to gather more information about the incident.
