Dayana Viola Aguilar, Dayana Viola Aguilar Obituary, Death – The Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) has identified the two victims in a fatal wrong-way crash on Interstate 17 early Thursday morning. Authorities reported that 23-year-old Maria Delrefugio Vazquez from Glendale was driving south in the northbound lanes of I-17 around 2 a.m. when she collided with another vehicle.
The crash led to the deaths of Vazquez and a passenger in the other vehicle, 29-year-old Dayana Viola Aguilar. The driver of the impacted vehicle, whose identity has not been disclosed, remains in critical condition as of Friday. DPS is continuing its investigation into the incident.
