Tijuan Devell White, Tryese Devell Johnson Obituary, Death – Authorities have identified three individuals who tragically lost their lives in a fiery crash on Highway 20 near Earlville on October 13. The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office reports that a preliminary investigation conducted by the Iowa State Patrol revealed that a 2014 Chevy Impala, driven by 50-year-old Tijuan Devell White of Robbinsdale, Minnesota, was traveling eastbound on Highway 20. Near the Earlville Interchange, White’s vehicle crossed the median and continued driving east in the westbound lanes.
The Chevy Impala then collided head-on with a semi-truck, causing both vehicles to be fully engulfed in flames. The driver of the semi-truck, who has not been identified, sustained only minor injuries from the crash. Unfortunately, all three individuals in the Chevy Impala, including White, 21-year-old Tryese Devell Johnson of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and 38-year-old Augustine T. Monboe of Robbinsdale, Minnesota, died at the scene.
Further investigation determined that White had been shot before the crash occurred. However, no evidence was found to suggest that the gunshot came from outside of White’s vehicle. Due to the severe fire damage to the vehicle, the exact manner of death remains undetermined at this time. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, the Iowa State Patrol, the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, and the Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Office are all involved in the ongoing investigation to uncover more details about the crash and the circumstances surrounding it.
