Mary Neale Obituary, Death – The victim of a fatal crash in Adams County has been identified as 79-year-old Mary Neale from Centre Hall, Pennsylvania, according to the coroner’s office. The accident occurred on Route 15 southbound near mile marker 4.5 in Cumberland Township at approximately 10:35 a.m. on Friday, November 1, 2024. This information was confirmed by Adams County Chief Deputy Coroner Scott Pennewill.
Following the crash, Neale was transported to Gettysburg Hospital, where she tragically passed away the same day. The coroner’s office reported that Neale died from multiple blunt force injuries, and an autopsy was performed the following Saturday, November 2.
Neale was driving one of the two vehicles involved in the accident. Her husband was a passenger in her vehicle but fortunately did not sustain serious injuries. He was taken to York Hospital for evaluation and was subsequently released. The driver of the second vehicle involved in the crash also did not suffer serious injuries.
The incident is currently under investigation by both Pennsylvania State Police and Cumberland Township police, as they work to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
